Consultation Summary

RIS-3784-TOM issue one sets out requirements for the provision of signage which can be applied consistently at all locations to support all situations in which trains are required to change between traction modes. At the time of publication of the standard in March 2022, not all the signs referred to therein were the subject of agreed designs. 
Further work has led to proposals on the signage requirements, material which would allow the production of additional and enhanced guidance on application rules, and development of specifications for the proposed new signs. The content of RIS-3784-TOM issue one has been reviewed and revisions are proposed as necessary to incorporate reference to these new signs and their application rules. It is proposed also that details are included in the catalogue of signs and the Rule Book (GERT8000).
