Consultation Summary

The Railway Group Standards (RGS) Code (‘the Code’) currently sets out the Governance arrangements for creating, changing, deviating from, and publishing RGSs. This includes the establishment of standards committees, principles for decision making, and the deviations process. The Standards Manual (‘the Manual’) supplements this with further detail regarding procedures in the Code, and the application of the principles to other documents managed by RSSB. 

Changes to the Code are approved by the Office of Rail and Road (ORR).

RSSB is consulting on a revision to the documents which were last issued in 2013, to ensure they remain fit for purpose and that the information they contain is clear and accurate.
